Parenting can really be sane!
“The success of family management with children with ADHD Challenges rests with the education and involvement of their parents.”
Today’s parents make more decisions than is fun. Private parent sessions provide a gentle and consistent way to develop a fulfilling parent/child relationship through the mindful practice of parental problem-solving using a reframe, a refocus, and a parental reconnection. Parents are the lifeline for their children’s behavioral compliance in the management of challenging behaviors.
It all starts in the home with mom and dad. Raising a complex child is, well, complex. Parents’ discipline commonly defaults to their own memories of childhood/parental experiences when time is short, and so is one’s temper. Our electronically connected society requires constant emotional resilience to manage the myriad of relational and practical family decisions. Just try to apply your parents’ child-rearing techniques with your ‘connected’ child who lives with the unmanageable distractions of social media. ‘Why isn’t my child motivated like I was?’ Or, ‘uh, oh, my child behaves a lot like me.’
What can I do with or without my spouse/partner to manage our sense of family chaos as we prepare our child for the realities of the world? Trust me, one parent can change the family tone of the home!
