What is the problem you want to solve?
Emotional healing was a problem for me and it might be for you, too. My emotional traumas took up too much of my time. Sadness was a chain around some of my memories.
How would it feel to remember a traumatic event but no longer be ruled by the emotion of it?
My family was in a head on collision in 1964 when I was 11 years old. I broke my nose and banged my forehead against a metal seat. My mother ruptured her spleen, my father and one sister broke their backs and hit the crown of their heads against a metal seat. My other sister hit the windshield causing a concussion. I was the only one able to walk and take care of my family while emergency services were called to the bridge we just missed going over.
Forty years later I couldn’t talk about it without shaking. I was still in the emotional grip of the trauma. I received one session of Brainspotting and was truly, wholly emotionally healed. I now have a healing of that memory that replaces the original incident and my body is at peace with my memory.
It’s my privilege to introduce you to Brainspotting, a new, safe, and healing emotional tool that reduces the need for extensive talk treatment.
Let’s start with a definition.
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused emotional healing method developed by Dr. David Grand that works by identifying, processing, & releasing core neuro-physiological sources of emotional/body pain. A “Brainspot” is actually the eye position which is related to the energetic/emotional activation of a traumatic/emotionally charged issue within the brain, most likely in the amygdala, hippocampus, or orbito-frontal cortex of the limbic system.
Dr. Ruby Gibson, ThD
I practice Brainspotting, a non-invasive emotional trauma release method based on new brain science that shows that even minor trauma such as hurt feelings have a tiny boo-boo located in your brain that with your focused vision and my verbal guidance can be released. There is no need to be in chronic emotional pain.
Oliver Sacks, a pioneering neurologist, might as well have been referencing Brainspotting when he said,
“We see with the eyes, but we see with the brain as well.”
Sacks coined ‘inscapes’ as the imagination.Your inscapes and my guidance work together to create a new vision of your life and health.
